How to Create Blogs for Search Engines
- - - - - Sponsor - - - - -
Rick Butts (yeh that's his real name) has 11 videos showing how to blog for profits. Using a secret "pinging" method, which Rick shows in the videos, he can get Yahoo to spider within hours. Google comes in a day or so.
If you want to be "master of your domain" and have the search engines come running like calling a puppy, this video series is for you.

But wait... that's not all! Once you have your site up and running, you can now blog and ping automatically. Programmer Jonathan Leger took Rick's videos and created a super tool to spider your site, blog your pages, ping them, submit them to Google, and send you a detailed progress report automatically. Now you can get your entire site crawled in just a couple of days, without having to do any of the work.

Internet Marketing News, Views and Clues
Last Call for Clickin it Rich 3.0 Upgrades
If I was starting from scratch tomorrow, with what I know now (over ten years experience on the web) here's exactly what I'd do to earn a living online.
It's the revised and expanded Clickin' it Rich 3.0 with 27% more content. Plus there's a totally new 30 page Action Plan showing three step-by-step Action Strategies or "Tracks" you can follow to create sustainable revenue streams.
But this is your last chance to get the upgrade. Here's the deal...
If you purchased Clickin' it Rich "within the last three months," you get the upgrade absolutely free of charge. Just email me with your Clickbank receipt number and I'll send you the new download page, username and password.
If you purchased Clickin' it Rich "prior to three months ago," I do have an upgrade path for $19.95. Just email your Clickbank receipt number and I'll send you complete upgrade information.
If you've "never" purchased Clickin' it Rich, now is the perfect time. Early testimonials tell me that the new "Action Plan" alone is worth far more than the purchase price.
Want to be Clickin Rich? ==> http://www.cdzn.com/cir
But don't delay. I'm pulling the upgrade offer at the end of the month, March 31 2005 at midnight, because I need that Clickbank account for other purposes. I'll also have the last two bonuses ready by then and will probably put up the "first timer" purchase price another $20 as well. Don't say I didn't warn you ;-)
You're Not Going to Believe what's Coming up Next!
Whew! Hold on to your hats! The next month promises to be a good one. Although I can't get into specifics, I can tell you that I'm beta testing some of the most exciting ebooks and software to come along in a long time.
First of all, I did my first ever "Blog and Ping" using new automated software. I took a brand new (virgin) 100 page site and using this "B&P" software, automatically blogged to a free Google Blogger account, while pinging, or "calling" the RSS news feeds into my free MSN and Yahoo accounts.
Yea it sounds like a lot, but the software does it all with the click of a button. And they have videos showing how to do it!
Not only did I get 100 incoming links to my pages, Yahoo and MSN both came and spidered my pages the next day. Google came the day after. Never before since 1997, have I managed to get all the major crawlers to come and spider within 48 hours. In a word, blog and ping is awesome!
(And to those who think B&P only gets you crawled but not indexed. Pft! A day later, I'm number #36 on Yahoo and #11 on MSN for my keywords. Pardon me while I do my little happy dance. ;-)
I also had a chance to review a new ebook called, "Total Search Engine Domination." Sounds like a tall order but I was there when the project began and watched it happen.
This TSED (for short) will be available for free. Personally I think my friend has a screw loose. He could be selling it as a nice front end product. But he promised me I can tell you all about it... as soon as it's ready.
So keep reading this newsletter and I'll keep you posted. Find out why I'm calling TSED, "the Holy Grail of traffic generation and search engine positioning" in the next issue.
Due to popular demand, my friend Leslie Rohde has been busy working on a low cost position checker. It's similar to many of the ones already on the market. It automatically checks the major engines and tracks the serps (search engine results pages) for your keywords.
The difference between the new Opti Tool and some of the other position checkers, will be low cost and no bloat. It will perform this one function extremely well, without having built in page generators, optimization advice, yadda, yadda.
Just pure position checking with extreme "no footprint" stealth, so you'll never have to worry about violating anyone's "terms of service" by using it... cause they won't "know" you're using it ;-)
Another programmer friend of mine has been doing really "spooky" things with "home rolled" auto site generation tools.
Turns out there's gigabytes of publicly available, royalty free papers published in xml just lying around on the internet, waiting to be snapped up... like medicine, health, insurance, law, scientific research, astronomy, recipes, all with permission to republish them.
Gee, package those puppies up in an auto generated site, stir in some Google AdSense ads on all 1,000+ pages and hoo wee! Now imagine if you Blogged and Pinged all of those? All those keyword rich pages with advertising on every single one??
The amount of potential revenue is staggering! Sorry for the slobber... I'm salivating just at the thought. I hope he shares his magic software with the rest of us... if he chooses to do so, you'll be the first to know, I promise! :-)
And finally, my good friend Dr. Andy Williams is going to be releasing new software either later this month or next. Right now it's in beta stage, and all I'm allowed to tell you is that it will make "article" distribution a whole lot easier. It also provides a slick automated way to get those articles into your SEO Website Builder sites for instant content. Look for an announcement soon!
Mini Site Creator Course for Real Money Making Minisites
Most people wouldn't make a course for beginners. It's way too much work to create all the videos. Not to mention the customer service, tech support and questions that come after the initial sale. I asked more than 20 of my internet friends to put together a beginners course, but they all politely declined the offer.
It's too bad. The "digital divide" as they call it is getting much bigger with every passing day, and it makes me sad. I rattle off terms like HTML, FTP, SERPs, hyperlink, SEO, PR, Blogging, RSS, without giving them a second thought. Those of us "in the know" take a lot for granted.
Turns out, just like years ago, there's a thousands of people every day, just starting out. They want to make it online and have a lot of heart. But some of them are struggling like crazy, just trying to figure out how to link one web page to another.
(Never mind the big mystery of getting hosting, entering usernames, passwords, root directories, and figuring out how to FTP all the pages up to the server.)
Personally, I'd hate to be dropped off in the middle of today's internet and asked to profit my way out. Back in '94 we had to figure everything out for ourselves and it was super expensive to own a domain name and host it.
Thank goodness times have changed and you can get hosting for $10 a year at Hostica, and a domain name for $9 a year at Godaddy... so for around $20 a year you can have an internet presence. But how do you go from an idea in your head, to a pretty web page that converts visitors into sales?
Thank goodness there's finally some help there too. And I can't think of a more patient person to help beginners. He's perfectly suited to the task.
It's Jim Edwards. (In case you don't know Jim, he's helped thousands of people earn a decent living online with dozens of ebooks, hoards of audio interviews and his syndicated weekly newspaper column.)
It's been a long time, years even, since someone... anyone, has been brave enough to stand up and teach the basics. We're talking like... how to make a web page. How to link. How to get hosting. Uploading your files. All the stuff that drives beginners crazy and makes them want to quit. You know what? Now you don't have to!
If you're new and feel like you're overwhelmed, or feel like you're spinning your wheels and can't get anywhere, this new video course is for you. It will solve all your problems and help you move beyond all that.
Want to create online success in no time flat? ==> http://www.cdzn.com/msc
And you don't need to go to a nightschool class, or be embarrassed, listening to some babbling instructor, while you're scribbling notes, trying to use some archaic Windblows '98 public high school computer. These are CDs that you can play at home and watch as often as you want.
In fact, I'm going so far as to recommend this course as a guideline, if you've already purchased Clickin' it Rich and you want to move beyond Fast Track #1 and into Track #2. This course will fill in all the missing bits that I may have taken for granted. I hope you'll join me, as there's still plenty of room online for success.

Can Buying Incoming Links Affect Your Rankings?
Yes! If done correctly, your rankings will soar like an eagle. If it's done wrong, you'll sink like a rock.
Ok, personally and morally, I don't see anything wrong with buying, or exchanging links. Most internet marketers and SEO professionals agree.
I don't see buying a link from a high PR (PageRank) private site, any different from buying a link from a directory like Yahoo. Either way, you're buying the link.
Here's a little snippet on the topic from the Clickin' it Rich work from home business training system "Action Plan," that's helps explain part of what I do...
"In addition to reciprocal linking partners, try to get as many free incoming links as you can get. Remember, you don't need to link back to the directories. These "one way" incoming links can be of great benefit, especially if they pass their PR (PageRank) on to your site.
Some directories will charge a small fee to review a site, but that's ok. If you can get listed on a high PR page with few outgoing links. (Each outgoing link gets a portion of the PR score.) If you can get listed on a PR5 or 6 page and it has less than 10 outgoing links, that's at least a PR4 being passed onto your site.
I usually start at http://www.strongestlinks.com/directories.php
They show a directory's PageRank, Alexa visits, number of links (saturation), submission fees (if any) and even tell if the directory passes its PageRank along to your site (many don't, so pay to submit only to directories that do pass along PR.)"
Ok, that said, you'll need to pay for at least three months if you're buying links. That's because it takes at least 3 months for the PR value to change and get spread around the web to all the interlinking pages.
(Some say only pages with PR4 and above distribute PR. Others argue that, if that's the case... where do PR2s and PR3s come from? All pages "distribute" PR. Either way, just try to get the highest PR possible.)
The more links on the page, the less PR that gets passed on to you. But also remember that PR is not a linear scale, it's exponential. The exact formula is a secret, but it's something like a PR5 is 8 times better than a PR4 which is 8 times better than a PR3. So starting at PR1 it's 8x8x8x8 etc, all the way up to a PR10.
In other words, a link from a PR5 page with 20 other links on it, is more valuable than a link from a PR4 page with only 5 links on it. Simply put, go for the highest PR page with the least amount of outgoing links on it.
Here's another very important aspect. Have a topic drift of around 30% or so in your incoming links. Or in other words, don't have them all saying the same thing. Use synonymous words.
Using new keyword combinations is especially important, if you're participating in link exchanges. Every month or so, change the text you use for your incoming links and switch them to a new landing page on your site.
You might also want to avoid sudden jumps in the number of incoming links. It's better to build up the numbers gradually, just like what happens "normally" on the internet.
You'll also want to avoid the "run of site" type links, where the other site links to you with every single one of their 1,000 pages. They are super easy to get flagged as bogus and filtered out.
And finally, what links to you, "generally" cannot hurt you. It may not help, but it "usually" doesn't hurt. The logic being, that if incoming links could hurt, some psycho competitor would start linking to you like crazy, and you'd get penalized for what someone else was doing.
So that said... be careful of who you link TO... that CAN hurt you. Do not link to web rings, link farms, banned sites or other questionable web pages. If in doubt... leave it out.
So to summarize:
1) Yes, rock on dude... it's ok to buy incoming links
2) Get non reciprocal links from directories that share PR
3) Change your recip linking text every few weeks
4) Have linking partners link to your internal pages
5) Don't buy run of site links or bulk linking
6) Build your incoming links gradually
7) Be careful what you're linking TO
Keep those thoughts in mind, and your search engine positioning will likely to soar. And in weeks to come, I'll be telling you more about a new ebook and reciprocal linking software, that makes it super easy to find and maintain top quality linking partners.

Can raw beginners get top listings in Google?
Sure... you bet they can, and I have proof. Here's how beginners or anyone else, can get top 10 rankings, with no hype, or BS, even if you don't know anything about the internet, or making web pages.

Should You Fear or Follow the nofollow Folly?
((Even though this question has been addressed in many other publications, due to the volume of questions I've received, (over 70) I've decided to provide my own take on the situation.))
So what's all the fuss about?.. There's a new html tag in town. It's very powerful. And you need to know about it... for better or worse, it changes everything!
Simply put, old static hypertext links used to look like this:
<a href=http://www.cdzn.com> Normal Link</a>
The new nofollow links look like this:
<a href=http://www.cdzn.com rel=nofollow> A Nofollow Link</a>
This new html "tag" invented by Google and - soon to be - adopted by all the other major search engines has one purpose, to stop their spiders from following the link.
They created it to stop blog spamming, which was a huge problem. For a long time people were using automated tools to add "me too" type comments into high PR blogs, along with a link back to their page. Needless to say it was an easy way to get high PR sites linking back to you.
However, the bigger problem and bigger concerns don't just involve blogging. The nofollow tag works anywhere, anyhow, in any link, so you can use it on any web page.
Think about that power for a second... with a single little tag you can absolutely block a search engine spider from crawling... an affiliate link, a linking partner, a private page, anything you want.
Gee, it sounds a lot like Dynamic Linking... the bonus ebook that comes with Revenge of the Mininet... where Leslie Rohde - the author - used Javascript to achieve the one way links. Guess what folks? We now we have an easier method that's actually "endorsed" by the major search engines.
(We won't even mention Google's "do no evil" terms of service where you're not supposed to do anything to artificially boost your rankings... but that's exactly what the nofollow tag can do.)
So yes, you'll need to more careful than ever, when exchanging or buying incoming links. If you're linking with strangers, you'd be wise to check the html source code for nofollow links. You'll still get human traffic, but you won't get any link popularity, PR (PageRank) or page Reputation aimed at your pages.
(You can automate the link checking chore with OptiLink. If they're using nofollow links, you'll find out. http://www.cdzn.com/opl)
The other side of the nofollow tag, is that you can take advantage of it inside your own web sites. Think about all the low value, or no money pages on your site... pages like about us, where to find us, contact us. Every link leaving your home page "bleeds" PageRank to those pages and you'll want to stop that!
Instead of using normal static hyperlinks you can use nofollow links instead. This lets the "human mouse clicking visitor" find the pages on their own, but totally blocks the search engine from finding them.
So not only can you provide visitors with a rich user experience, you can conserve your PageRank and link popularity within your home page.
So why is that a good thing? You can aim your PR and link popularity at your important money making product pages... The ones YOU choose!
For example, let's say you're still doing links the old way. You have a PR4 on your home page and 4 links lead off that page. That gives each of the 4 outgoing links a "vote" of 1 point.
Now (drumroll please) with nofollow linking, three of the four links can be blocked from being spidered by the search engines, and all four "votes" or ranking points aimed at one page. The page of your choice.
To paraphrase OptiLink's creator Leslie Rohde, "The search engines never intended to create the poor man's Dynamic Linking or Dynamic Linking for the masses, but by adding the nofollow tag, they've done just that."
Whether Google and the other search engines will become wise to the sleeping giant they woke, only time will tell. They gave us the nofollow tag and they can certainly change their minds and take it away.
The good new is, if you're the slightest bit worried about doing Dynamic Linking the new nofollow way, you can still do it the old fashioned way using Javascript, as described in Revenge of the Mininet and its companion ebook Dynamic Linking.
Want Revenge? ==> http://www.cdzn.com/rev
But should you use it? That depends... Do you want to control which pages get spidered? Do you want to decide which pages are more important than others? Do you want to aim your link popularity and PR at the pages you choose?
Yes... as you can see, it's a very powerful concept and the choice is clearly yours. So let me ask you, which type of linking are you going to use?
