New Service Takes the Guess Work Out of Keyword Research
(So You can Concentrate on Your Profits)

If you've been online for any length of time, you know that keywords and niches are everything. They are the root and foundation upon which everything else - from PPC ads to websites - are built.

Using a keyword research service I was handed a hot market. I found a $250 product to satisfy that market, paying out $100 per sale to the affiliate. I took the list of keywords and used AdWords bid on all of them.

I split tested some ads and within days found out which keywords worked the best when selling the product. After two weeks I had the list whittled down to just 10 super potent keywords.

The end result? Right now I'm selling 15 units per month through PPC ads. That's $1,500 per month in commission, with nothing more than a few bucks on the ads and a single landing page.

So what's the secret service I'm using to find these niches? It's the new Keyword Avalanche Research (KAR) Service. But I have to warn you, the money I'm making is just a drip in the bucket compared to what these guys are raking in by building portal sites out of the keyword lists. That's right... it doesn't matter HOW you use the keywords... PPC, Landing Pages, Portals, Mininets...

Since you're going to find out about this service anyways, it might as well be me that tells you. It won't be a secret much longer. KAR has ordinary people earning $8,000 to $25,000 per month - yes 25K per month - by building portals around high revenue keywords. Let them do the work, while you focus on profits.

Internet Marketing News, Views and Clues

New Brandable PDF Puts Your Affiliate Links Inside

In only 90 seconds, you can have your own branded version of Quick and Easy eBooks by Michael Campbell (that's me ;o), it's free, it's customized with your affiliate links, and you can give it away!

Giving away a free report has proven to be one of the best ways to get sales. After reading the 14 pages at least 5% of readers go on to buy one or more of my products. Now that I've tested it with PPC ads and proved that it works, I'm opening it up for everyone to use.

Don't be mislead by the price, or lack of it. Even though this report is free, it contains as much or more information than some ebooks in the $100 range. That's why it's so powerful in converting readers into sales. It's high quality wisdom, gathered over many years, that's now being shared with the public.

Here's your chance to get the word out and make some money at the same time. It only takes a few seconds to embed your affiliate links into the PDF file and then you're free to share it however you like. The more people you tell, the money you can make.

All you need to do, is download the branding software to your hard drive and unzip it. Then simply follow the rebranding instructions in the readme.txt file.

Happy branding! Good luck with your commissions. And thank you so much for helping me get the word out.

What You Must Know if You Produce MP3 Files

Have you seen these headlines?

* 1.4 Million Internet Marketers Risk Massive Fines
* Publishers at Risk of Getting Sued Over Unpaid MP3 Royalties
* MP3 Patent Owners Clamp Down on Info Publishers
* Info Publishers Must Pay MP3 Royalties or Risk Stiff Fines

There's a lot of stink lately about unlicensed MP3 files. Why? Because certain parts of the MP3 process are patented and the commercial distribution of MP3 files requires a yearly licensing fee, plus royalties.

While usually under the radar, a recent press release, which just happens to be tied into a product release, has come to the surface and provides some disturbing language for info publishers that rely on MP3.

It's no longer just music distribution that they're targeting. The press release states, "The products in question are such things as interviews of business experts, tutorials, talking ebooks, teleseminar recordings, live streaming audio messages, audio postcards - and lots more besides."

In somewhat strong language, a certain Mr. Joe Clayton Jr. warned, "The Internet marketing community is about to be shaken to its roots, because thousands of existing audio products are not licensed. And if you don't have a license you are in violation - period!"

Then later in the press release comes the pitch... "Fortunately there is now inexpensive software that is licensed, which will quickly convert and re-package those 'offending' files into a suitable licence-free format" he added. "But the Internet community must act very quickly to help reduce their chances of being hit."

Ok, stop worrying and don't freak out about this. You don't need to go buy their product, I have far superior one that you can download for free. I'll also tell you exactly who they are targeting and what you need to do.

If you make MP3 files, or make income from selling any products that contain MP3 files, this is critical information that you need to know. Here is a special seven page MP3 report I wrote, which you can download for free and distribute as you see fit.

Post RSS to Your Blog Automatically

Right now I'm posting relevant content to my Blog without lifting a finger. Every day, the automated software checks the RSS newsfeeds for my keywords - the ones that match my blog content - and posts the news headlines into my blog.

The AdSense ads are running down the side and automatically change to match each post. And before the purists scream spam, it plainly isn't. It's news from around the world, which matches your keywords, which matches your blog. It's like having a hands-free revenue stream on auto-pilot.

Google's Thin Affiliate Report Leaked on Purpose?

By now you've probably read that Google has allegedly hired international university students and are paying them $10 an hour, to check search results and report any spam they find.

http://www.google.com/jobs/eng/test.html

Who knows... maybe even you can apply as a Quality Rater, but don't get too excited, it's only a temp job. Volunteers in the SEO community will be taking over soon.

You've also probably seen the "leaked report" called the Spam Recognition Guide for Raters. So did a Google employee really break a non-disclosure agreement by revealing this report to the public? Is it real? I'm not so sure.

There's not a whole lot of new content in it, as I've seen many similar reports in the past. One notable difference was that this report targeted the auto site generators that scrape content from OPD, and have little in the way of original content. The report states that sites which are set up specifically to capture AdSense revenue are deemed, "Offensive."

In addition, there is no official author of the paper, but they do appear to have English as their second language, or it was not properly edited for grammar before it was issued... which would be unusual for Google. But like any "secret" leaked report, there are no names, email addresses or physical addresses on the paper. Only certain "Offending" urls get mentioned.

The last I saw, the webpage containing the document was still live... even a month later. So let me ask you... if it really was a "sensitive" document, wouldn't Google's legal team be on the ball and make them take down the link by now? Wouldn't the hosting company - under the digital millennium copyright act - have been notified of a copyright violation... or something?

Ok, in case you were busy and missed it, you might be able to catch it here:

http://www.searchbistro.com/spamguide.doc

Or if that's gone by now go to the root url and look for the June 5 entry.

One thing's for sure, it's not the original document. It's the third version and it's been copy 'n pasted many times. The original was created on May 24 2004 and it was saved at precisely 5:30 in the afternoon. Then on June 5 2005 it was converted it into an RTF file. A certain Natasha D. is credited as being the author.

How do I know this? Just drag any Word doc into a text processor like Ultra Edit or BBEdit and you'll get all the "hidden" underlying info that Word and other RTF editors normally hide, including author, when the file was saved and revised. Sneaky huh?

So is it a fake? It could be. But it doesn't matter. They're good guidelines for affiliates anyways. If you pay careful attention to these guidelines while you create your pages, you'll stay out of trouble.

Ok, what do I think about all this? Well, I love a good conspiracy theory.

So in my opinion, the thin affiliate document was leaked on purpose. This was to get a new volunteer army to report AdSense TOS (terms of service) violations on auto generated sites. The general public and the SEO community now have the guidelines, and they know what to look for.

Plus, the squealer or spam "reporting" mechanism is built in. Your AdSense ID is the trigger. Go take a look... your AdSense ID is embedded in comments when you click on the link that says "Ads by Google."

Hmmm... Conspiracy theory.. or brilliant viral marketing? You decide.

A few weeks after this secret report was "leaked", here's what Matt Cutts of Google had to say, according to a friend of mine, who attended the Webmaster World event...

""If you run into a site that is guilty of AdSense spam or is a Scraper site, click on the "Ads by Google" link and fill out the comment section of how the site violates the terms of use for AdSense. The publishers ID will be incorporated into the report and they are aggressively canceling accounts. He showed an example that is one of the biggest spam pages I have seen.

Basically the person used a program to make the page and the publisher left statements such as "the first paragraph should repeat the keyword four times...". But the worst was that the links on the page were referenced to his hard drive and had his name to which Matt asked, "Is 'Robert W' in the audience?"

Be careful with your AdSense sites, Google is cracking down hard and now you have hundreds of new volunteer "police" ensuring that scraper and spam sites get removed.""

So was it really a secret report that got "leaked" or was it an attempt by Google to save a lot of money by hiring the SEO community for free, to be able to identify and report spammers? Think about that for a second...

If you were a really smart marketer, and wanted word to spread like wildfire, you'd create these anti-spam guidelines, then whisper them into the most popular SEO forums as, "So top secret that someone broke their non-disclosure agreement." Then at the following event - the Webmaster World Conference - a few weeks later, tell people "exactly" how to report the spammers.

One can only wonder. And I'll leave you to come up with your own conclusions. But like I said, fake or not... These make excellent guidelines for any affiliate. They'll help you stay on the good side of Google, their temp army of paid students, or their "new" volunteer army of spam police in the SEO community.

Mastering PageRank CoverPageRank (PR) is a mystery for most people. That's because there's so much bad advice out there. Fact is... it's a simple mathematical formula, no voodoo, no mystery, no magic.

The Mastering PageRank Video Course (by Leslie Rohde creator of OptiLink) will show you exactly what PR is. How to get more. How to conserve what you have. How to concentrate it. Google SiteMaps Cause Rumble in SEO Community

How important are Google Sitemaps? Very! While on stage for the whole world to hear, Matt Cutts, software engineer for Google Inc. publicly stated for the record, "This (Google Sitemaps) is just like paid inclusion, but for free."

So just what is a Google Sitemap? It's an Open Source protocol that directs the search engine spider. It states which pages of a site get updated and how often. It shifts a lot of the burden and responsibility of indexing to the webmaster, freeing up spiders and search engine resources for other tasks.

Now the busy spiders won't have to look at every single page of your site, to see if they were updated or not. It's up to you, or your webmaster to provide an XML (or text) file to tell the spider, which pages get updated, and how often, and where to focus their crawling time.

According to Google: "Google Sitemaps is an easy way for you to help improve your coverage in the Google index. It's a collaborative crawling system that enables you to communicate directly with Google, to keep us informed of all your web pages, and when you make changes to these pages."

It's free and you can get started by visiting the Google Sitemap page:

https://www.google.com/webmasters/sitemaps/docs/en/sitemap-generator.html

Complete technical specifications are here:

https://www.google.com/webmasters/sitemaps/docs/en/protocol.html

If you're not comfortable creating your own XML file or saving files in UTF-8 format, the Planet Ocean newsletter gave an excellent tutorial on creating the sitemaps. http://www.cdzn.com/pob

There are free sitemap services beginning to spring up. The first two in the list below are web based. The third one is software based. I have not tested any of these but you are welcome to.

http://www.my-google-sitemap.com/google-sitemap.asp

http://www.tarrantit.com/googlesitemap/

http://www.vigos.com/products/gsitemap/

Once you have your sitemap, you can tell Google that it's ready, but you'll need to create a Google account first:

https://www.google.com/webmasters/sitemaps/login

Then once you've logged into your account, just click on the "Add a Sitemap" link and you're done. Google will notify you if the file has any problems.

But, if you're not ready to learn XML and don't like the idea of having to go it alone... if you own XSite Pro, you're in luck. Looks like they'll have Google Sitemaps added to their software within a couple of weeks. Paul Smithson - XSite Pro's creator -  told me it would be this easy...

1. Click on the Google Site Maps button in XSite Pro

2. Enter the details for your site

3. Click the publish button to publish your site

And that's it. Just three simple steps. I've got my fingers crossed and hope it will be as just easy as Paul says.

In addition Paul told me that, "Whenever you publish your site the Google Sitemap XML will be updated automatically. This is very powerful stuff, because it means it updates the last modified dates in the XML file without you having to lift a finger (you don't even need to know what an XML file is) and this is something that Google really does like to see."

Some Google Sitemap tools will sell for $97 or more, so that makes XSitePro the bargain of the century. Make sure you get it now so you don't have to pay extra for an upgrade. If you buy XSite Pro now, Paul told me that, "You are guaranteed to get the brand new version - including the Google Sitemap feature - at absolutely no additional cost, as soon as it is released."

Click to get XSite Pro ==> http://www.cdzn.com/xsp

So if you want to make Google happy, and get a head start on the new way to submit pages to the search engines for crawling, you have several choices...

Get the Planet Ocean newsletter and follow their tutorial. Use the free Google tool. Try one of the free third party tools. Or you can get XSite Pro and have it do the work for you... the choice is yours. But at the very least, get the work done, your search engine positioning may depend on it.

But it's way more than just software, there's hours of audio and video on how to write articles, or get them written for you. New Article Distribution Service Offers Big Savings

It's often said, "When an idea's time has come, several people get it simultaneously." Once again it rings true with article promotion services.

While there's been a lot of attention Jason Potash's Article Announcer, a second service was quietly gearing up for launch. Only a few days after Article Announcer, we have an alternative article distribution service in Chris Ellington's Article Marketer.

The basic service is free. A single article sent to nearly 30,000 readers is only $8.95. A full three months of unlimited articles published is only $39.95. Compare that price and you'll quickly discover that you can use this online service for two and a half years, for the same price as competing software.

While on the phone with Chris, I asked him the difference between his online service and software like Jason's. Chris surprised me by saying there wasn't much difference in the guts, because both services automate the article submission process using machines.

The big difference Chris stated was that, "The minute you download software, it's obsolete until the next upgrade. These article repositories are coming and going on a daily basis. In addition they keep changing the rules for submission. Having an online service allows us to stay on top of it and make the changes to our submitting software on a daily basis."

Having watched the video, submitting an article for distribution couldn't get any easier. So if you'd like to try an online service instead of software that runs on your PC, head on over to Chris Ellington's Article Marketing service. It looks like a very professional, easy to use, up-to-date alternative.

New Software Posts RSS to HTML and Archives Static Web Pages

What if I told you there was software very similar to the RSS to Blog, but it provides RSS to HTML instead. It slowly and automatically builds your site at the rate of one page per day.

It automatically archives the previous day's news, then the month, and continues to run month after month, while creating keyword rich, search engine optimized pages. You set it and forget it.

What if I told you that there was AdSense ads on every page, including the archived pages. What if the PR was properly concentrated by the use of the nofollow attribute? And the backlinks lead to the pages you choose, using the keywords you choose? Hmmm, one can only ponder... but you won't have to wait long :-)

My friend is working on this super powerful RSS software and we hope to have it released in a couple of weeks. It will be an exciting alternative to the automated Portal Builders.

Instead of blobbing up 1,000 pages overnight and risk setting off the alarm bells to the AdSense police, the new R2H software will slowly and steadily, build a large site, full of PR optimized links and keyword rich content.

R2H is going to be a big hit and it's coming soon. Stay tuned to this newsletter and I'll be sending you a special announcement as soon as it's ready.

Wait... Hold The Presses!!! It's Ready Right Now!

Mastering PageRank Shows Who Benefits in Link Exchanges

Q
- Will I learn anything new from the Mastering PageRank video. Is there new material not covered by the Dynamic Linking bonus I got with my purchase of Revenge of the Mininet? I know about the nofollow tag. Would it be worth purchasing this video?

A - Well, I'm not exactly sure if there will be anything "new" in the 30 minute video for you, because I don't know your exact level of expertise. The video does explore the use of the nofollow tag and shows how to concentrate PR. But it also busts a lot of myths as to where PR comes from and how it is distributed.

Leslie also shares his top strategies for getting more PR, including how to generate it from nothing. But what really surprised me, is that link exchanges are actually number three on the list.

It shows how PR leaks off your entire site through your linking pages and how you actually become part of your linking partners network of sites. So who wins... the lazy or busy linking partner? You'll have to watch the video to find out.

Want to Master your PageRank? ==> http://www.cdzn.com/pr

Even I picked up a few tips and it finally motivated me to fix a couple of poor linking structures that I had. In all honesty, I think it's worth it. But don't even think about that. Just get it and watch it.

And my favorite - sneaky - reason to get the video... it opens the door to Leslie. Once you become a customer, you're far more likely to get your SEO and PR questions answered in his OptiSmarts blog. It's open to the public, but only customers get their questions answered.

What to do When Keywords are Too Competitive

Q - I have a dog related site 40+ pages and growing. I'm also planning to create 20 or so 5-10 page mini sites that are topic related, and direct that traffic to my main site. The mini sites will be a particular breed per domain. For example, a mini site on Labradors, German Shepherd, Golden Retrievers, Boxers, Beagles, etc.

All of these sites are going to link back to my main site that has dog related information and products. Based on your teachings from Revenge of the Mininet, does that sound reasonable?

A - Sounds reasonable... but a quick peek at any keyword research tool like nichebot.com will tell you that those terms are too competitive. To do well in the search engines, you'll need to focus your minisite page topics on user behavior, or in other words, "how" people look for a certain breed.

For example, the sweet spots with lots of searches but few competing pages for Labrador Retrievers are labrador retriever puppy and labrador retriever rescue. Those keywords would make excellent minisite pages.

With Pittbulls it's pictures and photos. With Beagles it's hunting, miniatures and training. Poodles it's breeds, teacup, skirts and Maltese. And this will blow your socks off... for the Golden Retriever breed, it's shirts... over 700 searches per month, but less than 1,600 competing pages.

Yes, I know it sounds odd, but you can't argue with the facts, each breed has it's own peculiar / particular batch of keywords associated with it, based on how people search. Put up pages to satisfy those searches and you'll get a lot of visitors, not just to your minisite but to your main site as well.

For more detailed coverage on keyword research, be sure to read the Action Plan and Keyword Hotlist that came as a bonus with Clickin' it Rich.
