The Ultimate Keyword Research Tool
The new Keyword Bible renders all other keyword research
tools and software obsolete. Not only do you get millions of keywords
in over 23,000 lists, you can quickly and easily add your own lists to
the database with the click of a button.
Searching the database is just as easy. Type your keyword and get
thousands of matches across several lists. Pick and choose which lists
you want, or simply click the merge button to generate a giant list,
ready to paste into your favorite portal building software.
- Over 23,000 lists containing millions of keywords
- Use the lists for portals, mininets or PPC
- Generates [brackets] and "quotes" for Adwords
- Merges lists into a single file - no more cut 'n paste
- Uses plain text so it's simple and easy to use
- Lists over 41,000 highest paying AdWords keywords
- Finds profitable niches that you'd never even dream of
- Quickly and easily add your own lists to the database
- It's a keyword list manager and search engine all in one
- It's downloadable software so there's no waiting
- You buy it and own it... no recurring or monthly fees
Now instead of spending hours compiling your keyword lists, you can get
them in a few seconds at the click of a button. You'll never go back to
the "old school" online tools once you've tried this one. You'll get to
spend far more time building your sites and on your PPC ads, instead of
digging for keywords.

Internet Marketing News, Views and Clues
Get Spidered by Google in 60
Seconds or Less
Here's a great
little video by Andre Chaperon that shows the awesome power of
Google Sitemaps. Like calling a puppy come chow time, Google races as
fast as it can, to come spider your pages. So if you're still wondering
about the power of Google Sitemaps, cast all doubt aside.
And just so you know, you don't need to muck about with XML code. It's
a simple plug-in for your WordPress blog. The video shows you how to
install the plug in, submit the sitemap to Google, then a few seconds
later... presto!

A word of warning though, crank up your speakers as the audio is super
quiet.

Portal Building for Fun and
Profits
(Everything you need to know.)
I've tried just about everything... SEO, mininets, microsites,
PPC, landing pages, RSS, Blogs, Podcasting... and now it's time to try
my hand at portals... but just what is a portal anyways?
According to the Oxford Dictionary a portal is, "A doorway, gate, or
other entrance, especially a large and elaborate one." In computing it
means, "An internet site providing access or links to other sites."
So it's a large web site that leads to other web sites, like the hub of
a wheel. It can contain affiliate links, search engine results, RSS
newsfeeds, and of course... a generous helping of AdSense ads, which is
the main reason people like to build portals.
I have to admit that it sounds very attractive. You bang out - with the
help of software - one or more sites per day, then go to the beach,
while people click on the ads and make you money.
Some people - and I've seen their checks - are making $20,000 per month
doing this. No customer service to deal with, no refunds, no being in
the public eye and answering hundreds of questions every week, like
some of us have to. ;-)
So I tried it and built four portals last week alone. So far they've
earned $37 in just their first week. I can only imagine what they will
start earning once they are fully indexed.
But you know what? It's like work. It's like having a job. Eeek!
Ok, so it's a part time job, and it only took around 30 minutes to
create each site. But still... if you want to build portals, there's a
lot of repetition involved, so it's best to make a checklist, put the
headphones on, and get into a groove of bopping up a half dozen sites
before lunch... then go take the afternoon off.
It's a pretty slick lifestyle, that this portal building crowd enjoys.
They don't need to write newsletters, or create products, they just
bang out the sites.
They don't need to be passionate about the subject matter. They just go
where the money is. They do a little research to find a high paying AdSense category.
Pump out a keyword list. Drop the list into some software. Wait two
minutes and ding! The website is ready for upload.
So if you're ready to try your hand a portals, you're going need a few
things first. Here's exactly what I've found out...
Make a List and Check it Twice
You'll need to get organized with some kind of checklist on the
computer, or use a paper notebook if you like. You'll need to keep
track of all your domain names, passwords, Cpanels, hosting accounts,
AdSense accounts and keyword lists. In addition, I like to write a long
and short description of what the website is about.
Trust me, you'll need to do this from the start, because there's no
way, two weeks and 50 sites from now that you're going to remember what
your FTP password was to site number 17. So you really need to get
organized right from the start.
Market Research
There are many choices when it comes to keyword research. Most portal
builders go where the money is, and rely on the top paying AdSense
keyword lists, like the ones that come with Keyword Burner and the
Keyword Bible.
Keyword Burner ==>
http://www.cdzn.com/rbk
Keyword Bible ==>
http://www.cdzn.com/kb
If you don't have either of those essentials, the Keyword Avalanche
people suggest, resorting to Overture's tools.
Here are the guidelines: "Click prices of at least $1 or more in the
top level using the Overture Bid Tool, then go to the Overture Keyword
Tool and look for the top 12-20 keywords to have at least 10,000
impressions."
Overture
Maximum Bids Tool
http://uv.bidtool.overture.com/d/search/tools/bidtool/
Overture
Keyword Selector Tool
http://inventory.overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion/
The research provides answers to two essential questions. Is there a
market? And... How much are people willing to pay, to advertise in that
market.
As with anything, it's a balancing act, as many 50 cent searches can be
very profitable, if the traffic is there.
So in other words if the top 10 keywords all get over 50K searches per
month, it's worth putting up a portal, even if the max bid for the
keyword is only 50 cents. And vice versa... with very high paying
keywords but little - very niche - traffic, it's still worth a portal.
Domain Names and Registrars
You're going to need domain names, and a lot of them, if you're setting
up several portals per day or week.
My research has shown that an established domain - one that's already
been registered for a year or more - gets spidered and indexed much
quicker than a brand new domain name.
Every day I get emailed a list of several hundred choice domain names
from a service called Terrific Names.
These are freshly expired domains, many of which still have plenty of
incoming links. It's been my experience that these mature names give
your portal a jump start in the SERPs (search engine results pages).
Terrific Names ==>
http://www.cdzn.com/tn
If you don't have established domain names and can't find one using
Terrific Names, you can register a new one. What the Keyword Avalanche
suggests, is to use NicheBOT.com to find the top keywords. Use
NameBoy.com to get cool and interesting variations. And finally, use
your favorite registrar - mine's Godaddy.com - to register the domain
name.
But let me emphasize... the domain name is critical. It provides the
sizzle for the steak... it entices the click from the search engine to
the portal... and that my friends is almost everything in this game.
Let me ask you... which one would you click on:
BBQ-Supplies-Equipment.com
Lip-Smackin-Finger-Lickin-BBQ.com
Or...
Fishing-Gear-And-Tackle.com
Fun-Family-Fishing-Adventures.com
If you don't get the click from the search engine, then your portal
won't make money. Your domain name must be clickworthy or its all for
naught.
Hosting
The next thing to do, after you've done your market research and
registered your domain name, is to set up your hosting. I've been a
little leary of suggesting hosts as I've had a string of bad luck with
them. But lately a friend of mine - Adrian Cooper - set up a service
called Maxnet Hosting, which is specially dedicated to internet
marketers.
Having been using it for the better part of a month, I have to say that
the easiest, most feature filled hosting service that I've ever used.
The Webhost Manager is like a master control panel to used to create
Cpanels for as many web sites as you want to host. I could hardly
believe my eyes that I can set up 50 X 20 meg or 100 X 10 meg domains
on this one account.
So not only is the system easy to use, it's a breeze to set up 50
domain names, each with their own hosting, along with cron jobs, mySQL,
Mail, and anything else. It's fully featured, easy to use and a good
value, working out to just a couple of dollars per domain name per
month.
Maxnet Hosting ==>
http://www.cdzn.com/mnh
Then once you have allocated space for your domain name. Make a dummy
index file and FTP it up to the server. Then... and ONLY then are you
ready to log back into your registrar and point your DNS to the new
server. If you registrar is on the ball like GoDaddy.com it should only
take an hour or so, for it to start resolving to the home page.
If you do it the other way round and point your DNS before there's a
dummy index page, it could take 48 hours, before your domain name
starts resolving correctly. So don't do that... ok?
Keyword Lists
Most portal builders need keyword lists they can just copy and paste.
They don't want to spend two hours compiling a list using "old school"
online tools.
Forget KEI and Ratios... they don't apply here. The only thing that
matters, is how much money people are bidding per click. (Remember the
market research? High click price + plus traffic = profitable portal.)
There's some pretty slick software that enables you to scrape keywords
from the Google Sandbox and Overture, but the lists are limited in size
and there's a lot of cut and paste involved.
It's the same story with most of the PC applications... very useful
tools, but to compile a large list takes a long time. Then you've got
15 minutes of cut 'n paste ahead of you.
So after having looked at every imaginable tool, for quick and easy
portal building, I chose the Keyword Bible. It's built in search engine
makes finding huge lists of keywords a breeze. It only takes a couple
of seconds to get a list with thousands of keywords.
Keyword Bible ==>
http://www.cdzn.com/kb
Actually, the Keyword Bible makes it so simple and easy to get a
keyword list, that you almost take its power for granted. It's like
comparing a washing machine to a rock. It makes - what used to take
hours - a simple button click, so you can go onto the next step...
building the actual portal.
Portal Building Software
There's a lot of choices when it comes to portal builders. Two of the
most popular are Directory Generator and Traffic Equalizer. But after
spending hours in the Keyword Avalanche private site, the software of
choice for "professional" portal people is the Niche Portal Builder
(NPB).
The Avalanche people will tell you that NPB seems to have more "shelf
life" before the sites get culled out by Google. So in other words,
these portals might last three to six months, in comparison to lesser
builders which leave a footprint and can be culled out in just a couple
of weeks.
But as every portal pro will tell you... change the template that comes
with the software. The more you add your own touch, the less likely
your portal will be seen as low value and machine generated.
I like to add at least three paragraphs to the home page, to give it a
personal touch. Sometimes I just open the dictionary if I don't know a
whole lot about the subject matter, and want to jumpstart my creative
juices.
I also add a graphic of a person to the home page to give it more
appeal. Just simply adding a picture of a person either pointing to, or
looking at, the AdSense ads brought the click rate up to 23%. Yep,
almost one in four visitors clicks on the ads.
In addition NPB is fast. Just drop in your keyword list, AdSense Pub
ID, domain name and click a button. If you had 500 keywords in your
list... two minutes later you have a 500 page website ready to upload
to your server.
Niche Portal Builder ==>
http://www.cdzn.com/npb
After having used the software to create my portals, I know it would be
easy to blast four or five sites a day, thanks to the keyword lists the
Bible provides. It's just a simple matter of pressing a few buttons in
the Bible, then a couple more in NPB and voila... instant website.
Repeat the Process
That's all there is to it. Keep going and no looking back.
The biggest mistake that amateur portal builders make, is that they
fuss too much over their sites. They build one and keep poking at it
for a week. Pros don't. It's all a numbers game to them.
So no tweaking or fussing about the sites. Once they're built, they're
history. You just keep going and making more. If it drops in the
rankings, who cares. It doesn't matter. You've just made five new sites
today.
And the biggest thing of all is that Google traffic doesn't matter much
to the portal people. If they get any traffic from Google they consider
it a bonus. Because as most of you know... Google has a three month
purgatory on any new domain names.
Portal people are after Yahoo, MSN and traffic from other engines that
spider and index quickly... Especially if you can blog and ping those
sites to get the spiders started. (As of this writing, I haven't tried
"calling" Google with a WordPress Blog and SiteMaps, but that's
definitely worth a try.)
Conclusion
- Make a checklist for passwords, domains, etc
- Do market research or use the Bible's AdWords list
- Find a domain name with Terrific Names
- Register your domain name with GoDaddy
- Set up your hosting account at Maxnet Hosting
- Upload a dummy index and then point your DNS
- Use Keyword Bible to generate your list of keywords
- Paste your keywords into NPB and generate your site
- Upload the site to your server
- Repeat the process with no looking back
If you do you're job right, at least 20% of the people who find your
portal should be clicking on an ad. Even if you only made one portal a
week, at the end of a year you'd have 50 sites. Even if you only made
$5 per day from each site - which is very doable - you're looking at an
extra $90K per year.
Now you know why portals are so attractive. A little elbow grease goes
a long way. Then the big bonus... you don't have customers or customer
service issues. You remain anonymous, there's no pressure, and you work
only when you want to.
So is it easier than finding niche markets, finding affiliate programs
and setting up mininets? With the right tools like Keyword Bible and Niche Portal Builder... Yes.
Is it more profitable? Well, I just started a week ago, so we'll have
to wait and find out. But it sure is a lot of fun playing the portal
game :-) Do you want to play too?

Power RSS Automates Your Website
Content
This is totally different. It's not a blog. It's a whole new generation
of RSS tools that creates static HTML web pages on any web sites that
you manage. Pages that the search engines love to spider and humans
love to visit.
Plus, it automatically generates and archives one page per day, slowly
building your site. It works with your existing web site content,
includes AdSense ads, and it comes with an easy to use RSS aggregator,
so you can always have fresh news on any page that you choose.

Mining Gold from the Keyword Avalanche
Q - I
signed up for KA and understand Adsense may be a flash in the pan with
no staying power. However I am looking to generate some short term cash
flow as my other businesses gain steam.
What is your opinion of the whole KW Avalanche program beyond a good
keyword source? Mainly, is the software (Niche Portal Builder) worth
pursuing? Understanding nothing "goes" without the effort put in, and
just seeing if I can add another stream of income with Adsense.
Michael, Just shoot straight like you always do.
A - In my opinion, the keyword
lists are worth the membership alone. They have a nice balance between
click price and traffic... you need both for a profitable portal. The
real gold is in the private forums though.
Keyword Avalanche ==>
http://www.cdzn.com/kar
Be sure to read the "Priceless Master
Portal Builder Toolkit" in the beginners forum. The author is a
friend of mine, and he tells you exactly what to do and how to do it in
a step-by-step manner. I followed his checklist and was crankin out the
portals in no time.
Most of them - including me - are using Niche Portal Builder, then
setting up blogs and pinging the blogs automatically. But the forums at
Keyword Avalanche support all types of methods. In addition there's a
support forum for every major brand of portal software.
Niche Portal Builder ==>
http://www.cdzn.com/npb
The portal people - like Google - get their income from AdSense. But
they don't worry about Google canceling their AdSense accounts. Google
needs the revenue. Google will cull the portal site after two to six
months, but will gladly continue to pay for clicks generated by Yahoo,
MSN and other traffic.
To the portal people, if they get any Google traffic at all, it's just
a bonus. All they really care about is getting traffic from Yahoo.
In fact... I finished setting up another portal today. I'm going to try
and bang out one portal per week... on top of my "writing the
newsletter" day job ;-). It's hard to ignore the numbers... as these
guys make some serious $.
It's nothing like I write about... having a passion and making
relationships. Portals are all about keyword and market research,
register the domain name, make a blog, generate the pages, point the
dns, blog and ping the pages automatically, move on to the next site,
with no looking back.... It's a very different way to go about
things... pretty fascinating actually :-)

Keyword Software Compared
(If you make portals it's no
contest)
Q - It seems like
everyone is suddenly releasing keyword associated software, some on CD
ROM, some as downloadable programs, and some as online services.
I know you endorse Keyword Bible, which seems to be at a sensible price
with no monthly fee, but what do you think of "Keyword Burner" and
"Instant Keyword Research?" I would very much appreciate your advice.
A - Yes, it seems like
suddenly... there's many choices when it comes to keyword research
tools. It's the old adage, "When an idea's time has come, many people
get it at the same time." Like usual, I get a chance to review most
products before they go to market, but I chose to wait and support the
Keyword Bible based on its features, speed and ease of use.
The Keyword Burner is super for finding out the top AdWords bids using
real Google info. It also has the usual features like keyword research
and competition ratios, plus you can use it to create good keyword
lists. The only downside is, if you're building portals and need a lot
of keywords, you have to do a lot of cut and paste. And you can't add
your own lists. But still, it's a fantastic tool.
Keyword Burner ==> http://www.cdzn.com/rbk
Instant Keyword Research is good, but it's shipped on DVDs, so you
can't add your own lists. You also have to copy and paste each list
separately. So for example, there's 39 .CSV files for the keyword,
"acne." Then you need to cut and paste each one from the spreadsheet
into a text file, for total of 2,383 keywords... nice size list, but a
lot - 15 minutes - of cut and paste... which is not so good for speedy
portal building.
In comparison the Bible has many "acne" keyword lists, but click the
merge button - and thanks to its built-in search engine - you get
a single list of 3,147 keywords in plain text, ready to use, in two
seconds flat. In addition, you can add your own lists of keywords to
it, so it's always fresh and growing.
It lists 41,000 top paying AdWords keywords in a single spreadsheet,
making it easy to compare, search and spot new niches at a glance. For
example, "Elk Meat" paying several dollars per click... now there's a
niche. :-) But without a list like this... who would have thought of it?
And finally, its downloadable with no monthly fee. You buy it once. You
own it. And can start using it right away... like five minutes from now.
Keyword Bible ==>
http://www.cdzn.com/kb
So yes, if you're serious about building portals for internet revenue,
then the Keyword Bible is the answer to your prayers. It's so powerful
that its easy to take for granted.
Like flicking a light switch, you just expect it to be there and fast.
At the speed of light, the Bible provides thousands of keywords in just
a few seconds.
Best of all, the list is ready to use instantly. Just paste it into
your favorite portal builder - like NPB - and you're good to go.
Niche Portal Builder (NPB) ==>
http://www.cdzn.com/npb
Now if you'll excuse me... I have some portals to build. What are you
going to do this weekend? Join the portal builders... or do what you've
always done?
