All it takes is basic hosting, a Wordpress blog and 30 minutes per day of your time. Be warned though, it's not only lucrative, it's highly addictive and fun.

1. Real Time Web Analytics

Imagine watching over the shoulder of everyone who visits your site. What do they read? Where do they click? What trips them up? And why do they leave? Now you'll know.

2. First Steps After Installing Wordpress

After you install Wordpress, there's a few housekeeping issues to tackle. So before you start posting, or adding dozens of plugins, be sure you do these steps first. Doing so will keep you running happily for years to come.

3. Best Free Apps for PC and Mac

Looking for software on a tight budget? This site lists the top apps for PC and Mac, and they won't cost a dime. Several of my favorites apps are listed here, including Perian, Handbrake, Audacity, VLC and Skype.

4. Online Screen Recorder

Here's another freely available utility that lets you do instant screen captures. You may be familiar with similar tools like screenr.com and jingproject.com but here's another one to try out. You might like it better.

5. Open Source Flash Player

Want to embed Flash movies on your website? You'll need a Flash player to do so. This one is Open Source so it's freely available. Plus it has oodles of tutorial videos on how to get it up and running in no time.

(BTW: The best video training you can get is from Dave Kaminski of the Web Video University. He has a couple of openings at the moment. You can learn how to start producing web video right away. )

6. Deep Linking Within YouTube Videos

Here's a little YouTube trick. It lets you link to an exact time in a video. So instead of making people sit through a whole video, you can link to the moment you want them to see.

7. Stream Live Video to iPhone Users

Starting Nov 13th, you can broadcast video, or your computer screen to iPhone users, and they don't need any additional software. To see your video, all they need is the built in Safari browser. The service includes moderated real time chat, Twitter promotion and high quality H.264 streaming.

Notes from LiveStream: "Streaming live to the iPhone requires less than five minutes to install. Producers simply download and install Livestream Procaster for the PC or Mac, connect their video camera or webcam, select iPhone 3G Quality, and press Go Live.

Users can view the live streams on their iPhone or iPod Touch by pointing their Safari browser to the channel they want to view at iphone.livestream.com"

8. 20 Essential Firefox Add-Ons For Designers

Here's another set of add-ons for website designers. They include a handy window resizer, a CSS inspector, a screenshot creator, an IE tab, FTP app, palette grabber, font finder, source code difference finder, rulers and more.

9. Detect Mobile Browsers

Have you visited your site using a smart phone or iPhone? Does it look like a train wreck? It doesn't have to. It's easy to add a "Mobile User Agent Detection" script to your site. Now all your visitors can have an optimized viewing experience.

10. Firefox Toolbar for Affiliate Marketers

Want fast and insightful research into any niche? This handy toolbar takes your keyword of choice and finds affiliate offers, related keywords, trends, news, demographics, conversations, articles, public domain content and more.

10.5. FTC Final Guides Governing Endorsements

Does your site have a terms of service, privacy policy (including how you handle cookies), earnings disclaimer (including disclosures on commissions, paid reviews and gifts), contact us and about the company?

The law starts a few days from now. You have to disclose on your site, that you are an affiliate and get compensated as such.

You need to disclose if you received any freebies, gifts or review copies. You also need more accurate financial and achievement testimonials than the old "these results not typical" disclaimer.

The deadline to have these FTC regulations in place is December 01 2009. Are you ready?

If you're not into interpreting the FTC lingo, and paying for custom legal pages, there is relief. The legal form package I purchased and recommend is the Legal Forms Generator. As a bonus, you get the Affiliate Compensation Disclosure Package.

Yes, the lawyer who wrote the package is serious about upping the price. I bought it a couple of months back, when it was 1/3 of what it costs now. So if you don't have legal pages in place, don't delay, the deadline is Dec 01.

That's it for this edition my friends. Thank you for reading. Until next time, here's wishing you all the best for online success.

Some great leads here. Especially the web analytic provider clicktale. Will give some of these a go - they look really useful.
