Yes, that’s a video ^ up there ^ click to play it if you like, or read the full story below.

There’s a big problem with the way some individuals are obsessed with SEO. They are addicted to checking stats, like 10 times a day. They slave for hours over keyword minutia, wanting more clicks and search engine hits.

All they can think about is their next “fix.” How many backlinks do I have? What PageRank do I have now? Are these links nofollowed? Should I target more keywords?

Newsflash… SEO is the NOT the “holy grail” of traffic anymore.

It was until 2006. Search engines were pretty much all there was. If you were looking for something, you either searched for it, emailed some friends, or went to the store and looked.

Since 2006 I’ve noticed a shift in my traffic. It’s drifted away from SEO and search, to social media and syndication services.

I’m talking MASSIVE traffic from the YouTubes, iTunes, Twitters, PRWebs and social bookmarking services of the world. One podcast I did snagged over 100,000 downloads, a PDF newsletter 50,000.

Plus, I get all sorts of traffic from written content in articles, posts, newsletters, whitepapers, ebooks and blog comments. In fact, one single comment on a tech blog drove over 400 visitors to my site in the first hour.

My advice to those individuals obsessed with SEO? Get your head out of your stats. SEO has limited clicks, or “inventory” available.

For example, take a commercial keyword that has 20,000 searches per month. Divide that by a “normal” 1.5% conversion and that’s 300 potential sales for the month. Now split those sales over the top 10 search results and all the paid ads.

If you’re lucky, you might snag a couple of those sales. Sad huh?

The solution? Go where the people hang out. That’s the key to getting more traffic.

Even if you rank for dozens of keywords, here’s a reality check. Unless you own the search engine, you don’t OWN those search results. All it takes is one small change to the search engine algo and… Blammo!

You got nothing. You’re knocked out of the top 10 results.

Months of SEO work down the tube. You could be out of business overnight. I’ve seen it happen to hundreds of people. Especially affiliate marketers. Right or wrong, that’s how it is.

The solution? Be social.

Don’t wait for people to come to you. Go where they hang out.

Position yourself as the leader in your niche, or product category. Talk with people. Start participating in the conversations like I teach in my Goobert Social Media Marketing Method.

A good case in point is Gary Vaynerchuk, with his Wine Library TV and amazing book called Crush It. (Which I’ve listened to three times and highly recommend).

Gary didn’t rely on search engines at all. He attributes his rapid growth and success to the freely available social media tools, which didn’t even exist two years ago.

A more subtle everyday example is my friend… He’s looking for an iPhone dock with speakers. Did he search? No.

He Tweeted. He got got several replies. Took the recommendations. Read the product reviews on Apple and Amazon. And made the purchase decision. All without resorting to a search engine.

The evidence is clear. Since 2006, most people turn to their social networks, videos, podcasts and product reviews for advice. Especially for advice on purchase decisions.

So if you have any kind or product or service you’re promoting, you’ve got to get a Twitter account and subscribe to Google Alerts. Monitor the conversations about your websites and brands.

Jump into those conversations when it makes sense to do so. It’s your chance to influence a purchase decision before they resort to a search engine.

Take a camera and throw together some quick three minute videos for Youtube. Especially if your product, or service is visually oriented, or if it’s a process that you can show people.

Take people on a virtual tour with the camera. Show the features and benefits. Let the videos help you sell everything from washing machines to GPS units.

If you sell software, make screen capture videos with Camtasia or Screenflow. Show them how easy your product is to use, and the benefits of using it.

You could do a telephone interview with an expert and have it recorded. Make it into an MP3 and post it into iTunes for instant traffic.

Maybe set up a UStream channel and broadcast yourself live. Everyone from musicians to hair salons are jumping on this.

Video, audio, screencasts, slidecasts, blogging, tweeting, facebooking… it’s all exploding in popularity. It only makes sense to be part of the mediums where people hang out.

So please…. please… stop obsessing over SEO and your search engine rankings. Stop relying so heavily on search results for traffic.

Start obsessing over where the people are. What they’re doing online. And where they’re going next. Try to find them earlier in the decision making process, by getting there first.

Try creating videos, ustreams, podcasts, slide shows, screencasts, blogs, tweets, and commenting on other people’s blogs. That’s where the people hang out and spend the most time online.

Position yourself as the leader in your niche. You know your topic better than anyone… or at least you should be trying to.

Show them by participating and producing quality content, that you’re the right person to lead them.

By syndicating your content, you’ll get more qualified traffic than you ever could with the “cold call” of search results.

People will find you from 100 places, not just one or two search engines. So you’ll sleep better at night because you’re not obsessing over SEO.

You’ll have a lot more fun making videos, than begging people to link to you.

You’ll convert double, or maybe even triple the clicks into sales, because of your leadership and influence.

So ease up on the SEO and get out your video camera instead. Syndicate that video in several media channels and you’ll get all the traffic you need.

take care,

Let’s talk about being happy. Are you truly happy? Would you like to be happy every day of your life?

You’ve heard it said, that money doesn’t buy happiness. It’s true. More money doesn’t mean more happiness. It often has the opposite effect.

People with money just tend to buy stuff. They think that the stuff is going to make them happy, or justify how hard they work. In reality, it’s just stuff.

Here is a rule to live by…

Never love something that cannot love you back.

It is that simple.

You might feel excited about a new possession for a while. That excitement, the bling, the newness, it quickly fades away.

My advice… is to rent your life experiences. Anything that you want to have.

If you want to drive an expensive car, you can rent one for a week. Want to live in a house by the ocean? Go do it for six months.

You can rent these and most other life experiences, for a tiny fraction of the cost. You do not have to buy them.

You don’t need a mortgage. It will drag you down like an emotional anchor. It’s far better to have liquid assets and have a life rich in experiences.

The second road to happiness, is not caring what other people think. Don’t care what they think about your haircut, the clothes you wear, or the car you drive.

The less you care about what other people think, the happier you will be. Don’t let what anyone says or does, affect your inner peace.

Just hesitate for a moment before you react. Don’t let that bozo ruin your day. Blow it off, smile and laugh in five seconds or less.

The third way to be more happy, is to spend less time in isolation. The more time you spend isolated, the less happy you will to be.

Get out and around other people. Even if it is just down to the gym, or a fitness class. Getting outside for a walk, or a couple of hours in the shopping mall.

That bit of exercise and being near other people, will do wonders for your mental health. You’ll clear all sorts of hormones and gunk out of your body.

A fourth way to be more happy, is something that I learned from Dr. Dan Ariely’s “Predictably Irrational” audio book.

Happiness depends on what you compare yourself to.

For example, after the Olympics, the gold medal winners were the happiest, of course. And who were the second happiest? The bronze medalists.

The silver compare themselves to the gold. They think, “If I tried a little harder, I could have won that gold.”

The bronze medalists were much happier that silver medalists. They were happy to get any kind of medal at all.

So happiness truly depends on how you look out the window. What’s in your frame? What are you comparing yourself to?

I hope these few tips on happiness will help you be more happy. Come to realize that it is not a destination, it is not about possessions or things.

If you want to be happy…

1) Rent experiences, don’t buy them
2) Stop caring about what others think
3) Spend less time in isolation
4) Stop comparing yourself to others
5) Exercise, eat right & get enough sleep.

Happiness is about enjoying your life. Sharing it with friends and family. Loving others and letting them love you. That is what life and happiness is all about.

Motor skills are what you develop, by repeating a task over a period of time. The more you practice, the more hard wired the skills become in the neurons of your brain.

You get so good at what you do, that muscle memory takes over. You don’t even need to think about what you’re doing. You just do it.

But not everyone can. You see…

If you’re comfortable in your situation, in that dull numbing pain, afraid of change… your chances of success are pretty much doomed. I’m talking about certain individuals that would rather endure a life long comfort and acceptance of continued failure, than take a chance on success.

A quick case in point is this guy named Casey. He went to a friend of a friend of mine for some coaching. Casey claimed that the coach didn’t help him.

So he went to my friend. Casey claimed that my friend couldn’t help him either.

So then Casey came to me. We worked through The Uncovery process together. We had a couple of intense sessions, where I helped him decide what he wanted to do in life.

Casey came away from the coaching sessions with a complete action plan. Everything from market research to advertising. All that was left to do, was for him build the web properties for affiliate marketing.

About a week later Casey asked me to review his websites, because he was having some problems. I looked at his websites and asked why all his links lead to the same place.

He said, “I don’t know how to change them.”

What the #%@*! Wait a minute.

You went to a friend of a friend, then you went to my friend, now you’ve come to me. You’ve had how many hours of coaching and consulting? And you don’t even know how to make hypertext links?

I fired Casey on the spot. No wonder he claimed that all other coaches failed to help him. Casey didn’t have even the most basic computer skills.

It wasn’t the fault of the other coaches at all. Casey failed himself, because he didn’t have the focus, determination, or drive to learn. He didn’t make a commitment to practice and learn the craft.

So let me ask you… How did you learn to walk? How did you learn how to drive? How did do you learn how to skate?

You can’t get good at something by reading books, or watching videos, or absorbing theory and statistics. You learn by doing.

For example, you might know a lot about baseball, but it won’t help you play the game. You have to suit up, get on the field, and strike out a few times, if you’re going to get any good at it.

And that’s my point…

At some point, you have to put away the textbooks. You have to put away all the learning. It’s time for commencement. (And if you look that word up, it means beginning, not end.) You actually have to start the doing.

It’s only by doing, that you learn the computer skills. It’s burned into your brain that Command+Shift+3 takes a screen shot. Command+V is paste. Command+Q is quit.

That’s what I’m talking about… motor skills. You don’t have to think. You don’t have remember. You just know.

It’s much like a musician playing a familiar song. Their fingers dance all over the keyboard. Have you ever wondered how they learned to play like that?

Through practice.

They’ve hard wired the neurons, the motor skills, to play that song. Now they don’t even have to think about it.

They practiced, and practiced, and practiced, until they don’t have to think about it. The fingers know all the notes. Now they can be engaged in the performance with the audience.

It’s the same thing when it comes to you.

If you want to become a hockey player, you can’t play the game from the stands. You’ve got to lace up the skates, get on the ice and be willing to fall on your butt a few times.

It’s the same thing, if want to have a successful online business. The motor skills are critical.

You must learn how to type, make web pages and join affiliate programs. You must master the computer and its operating system. You must learn how to move the mouse, know where the menus are, what the commands do… everything.

I think it was a friend of Zig Ziglar who said, “You don’t have to be good to start, but you have to start to get good.”

It’s time to put away the books and start doing it instead. If you want to have a successful business online, practice your motor skills and master the computer. It’s the first and most important step.

I want to talk with you about doing SEO for clients.

My thinking is… if you get good at doing SEO, why on earth would you want to have clients? Why not do it for yourself and drive the traffic to affiliate programs instead.

Now, I’ve been dishing out this advice for 10 years. I’ve given it at seminars, webinars, interviews , ebooks, and through my newsletter.

Most people who hear it say, “Are you off your rocker, are you a lunatic?” At least at first…

Seriously, if you get really good at SEO, why on earth would you want to have clients?”

You’ll spend 50% your time trying to get new clients, because if you do you job right, as a consultant, you get fired at the end. Consulting is the only job on earth, that if you do it right, you get fired.

Then you’ll spend at least 20% of your time being a bill collector. You’ll have to track time. Have meetings. Provide proof of your work. Mail out invoices.

Then, instead of paying for services when they receive the invoice, clueless clients throw you in with product suppliers. They shuffle it “down to accounting” meaning you won’t receive a payment for months. Good luck trying to collect.

So on top of trying to get new business, you’re trying to get paid for what you’ve already done. You’ll have less than 30% of your time to do any billable work.

Then you’ll have to deal with people like Fluffy (yes, that was her real name) the designer, who hasn’t got a clue about SEO. She thinks Flash makes the best web sites. (Yea, and you’ll be invisible to the millions of iPod, iPhone and iPad users.)

You’ll deal with technicians like Bob, who thinks everything should look like a database. Never mind persuasion, conversion, or user experience, search boxes and sku numbers are all that matter.

So if you get good at SEO (I continue to pontificate), why not fire all the clients, and just do the SEO for your own web properties? You could promote all sorts of products and services with affiliate programs.

Just set up the web pages. Drive traffic to them. And get recurring revenue streams. You’re in total control of your destiny, the markets you promote, and no one’s going to argue with you, or fire you at the end.

You do the work once and get paid over and over again. That’s the advice I’ve been giving to SEO professionals for many years.

The bottom line is… unless you love the hassle of having clients, why not just be quiet, stay home, do the work for yourself, and take the paychecks to the bank with no hassles? It doesn’t get any easier than that.

My advice? Stop doing SEO for other people. Fire all your clients. You’ll be happier, have a lot more free time, and you’ll make a whole lot more money than you ever could, working for someone else.

Internet Marketing Secrets
IMS #188 – July 08 2010
Two Quick Videos

Sorry for the delay in getting your newsletter to you. While out trail running in the woods, my foot caught a snag. It stayed where it was, but the rest of me didn’t.

Timber !!!

Which resulted in face plant into the dirt (ouch). A bone chip (ouch). And two fractures to my foot (ouch).

So I was literally “out of it” there for a week.

I’m back to being productive though. I’ve recorded a series of videos and will start delivering them to you next week. What I’ve come up with, is a system to syndicate all my content.

The videos get syndicated through TubeMogul to YouTube and all the video sharing sites.

The audio gets extracted and syndicated through Libsyn to iTunes and all the podcasting sites.

The audio gets transcribed into blog posts, articles and newsletters.

So what it means for you is choice. You get to choose if you want to get this newsletter in video, audio, html, or text. I’ll provide links to all of them for you.

For me, it means taking one piece of content, and syndicating it into hundreds of places where people hang out. Far beyond the reach of search engines.

So until next week – when I have all the syndication details worked out – here are two short videos for you…

1) Fire Your SEO Clients – 2:12

If you get good at SEO, why would you want the hassle of having clients? You’re always either trying to get more work, or get paid for the work you’ve already done.

Get off the client treadmill. Fire them all. You’ll be happier and earn a lot more, than you ever could working for someone else. Watch the video for more…

2) Practice Your Motor Skills – 2:58

Get your nose out of the text books and graduate already. It’s time for commencement. And if you look that word up… it means beginning, not end.

It’s time to put down the textbooks and start practicing what you’ve learned. You must learn the motor skills, if you want to get into the game, and learn how to market your business online.

Please rate, or comment on the videos, so I can continue to improve and provide the content you want.

Want to know when there’s new content? Follow Michael Campbell on Twitter and I’ll send you a note.

That’s it for this edition my friends, thank you for reading. And a BIG thank you to everyone who sent well wishes and prayers.

Yes, I’m walking now, but I have to use a cane for six weeks. (It’s bright silver.) So if you see me hobbling around Metrotown Mall, or Central Park in Burnaby, come up and say hi.

take care,

Michael

P.S.

If you’d like to know exactly how I’m syndicating my content, I’m posting the step by step instructions in the Dynamic Media Vault. Members can download the course chapters, audio, video, flowcharts and diagrams as I create them.

Market Research & Advertising

Last week I sent you a newsletter about PPC Ninja’s New PPC to CPA course. It resulted in hundreds of questions.

NOTE: It’s not about PPC to CPA. It’s about market research and ADVERTISING.

It doesn’t matter what you want to sell. These PPC sources are dirt cheap, and you can sell normal affiliate goods, or your own products and services, it doesn’t have to be CPA offers, ok? So lets clear that up right away.

What makes the secret traffic source so effective is the demographic targeting. If you want to target, “short fat 51 year old Canadian caucasian men who smoke” you can. No other traffic source I know of has that ability. Click to watch the video.

Then once you find a demographic that responds to what you’re selling, you go wide. You take the same creative – photo, headline and copy – stick it on a banner and do a media buy at Pulse360.com, AdBrite.com or some other ad platform.

Go over to Quantcast.com and type in an url like acne.org. You’ll discover the age range, gender, ethnicity, income and education. It will tell you if the site accepts ads or not. It also shows related sites that the acne.org visitors like.

So it only makes sense to advertise what works. Test your ad against various demographics using the Ninja’s secret traffic sources. Then once you have a combo that works, advertise it like crazy, where that demographic hangs out.

And yes, you can do it the other way round. You can go to Quantcast first, gather intelligence, do your creative, and then run it on the Ninja’s secret traffic sources. You can get a head start that way.

Another source of market intelligence is Google’s Ad Planner at Google.com/adplanner/ . It doesn’t have demographic data for as many sites, but it shows audience interests, keywords searched for, sites also visited, and details about advertising on that site. This is key information for any advertiser.

Want more market research advice? Be sure to read this post, “My Top 10 Market Research Tips.”

If you wanted to be really sneaky, search your keyword, or niche on Google and make a note of the top 10 results. Then go into Google’s content network and slip your tested, targeted ads into those top sites.

Making your ad match their content is not only sneaky, it’s totally permitted and uber effective. (That nugget itself, is worth the time it took to read this newsletter, in my opinion.

Now something I want to hammer home as an affiliate… SEO takes too long, it has too many rules, and it has limited inventory in terms of clicks. Even if you go after hundreds of long tail phrases and Jiggle the Web, the amount of clicks are limited.

Even mighty Google with over 60% of all search, is responsible for less than 30% of the PPC inventory. That leaves more than 70% of all PPC traffic sources untouched by Google.

Many of these secret traffic sources sell ads on their pages, for a tiny fraction of what it costs to advertise on Google. I’m talking 10 – 40 cent CPMs (cost per 1,000 impressions). Which means my ad shows up 1,000 times for a mere .10 cents).

That’s dirt cheap traffic. Especially when you consider how laser targeted you can get with the demographics.

So in our acne example, you’d only let your ad fire (yes, you control when your ad shows), when the searcher is a woman with children. And she’s between the ages of 20 to 35. Since they have way higher than usual Hispanic visitors, guess what some of your photos will look like? Uh Huh.

Are you beginning to see the power in this?

Another thing that bugs me, is that Google is making it harder for affiliate marketers to get good rankings. They’re getting more powerful, charging more for their ads, yet paying out less. On top of that, they can shut you down in the blink of an eye.

If you rely on Google docs, SEO traffic, Youtube videos, Adsense and Adwords, you could lose all of that overnight, if you accidentally do something against their TOS. If you use Gmail, they can shut that off too.

Doesn’t it bother you that one company – right or wrong as the case may be – has that much power over your business? (Hopefully freedom of speech is still a basic human right and they won’t ban me for expressing an opinion.

The PPC Ninja’s Traffic Dojo does NOT rely on Google…

* No Google
* No Facebook
* No SEO
* No search engines
* No social media
* No landing pages

The Ninja’s secret traffic sources say…

* Yes to affiliates
* Yes to direct linking
* Yes to demographics
* Yes to unlimited inventory
* Yes to high return on investment

But Michael, two issues ago you said, “What slows momentum down is flitting from one marketing strategy to the next.” Isn’t that what you’re doing?

Not at all. My main focus is affiliate revenue. Always has been. Yes I write a newsletter. And I have a private site. But the bulk of my revenue comes through affiliate programs, outside of the internet marketing space.

Running PPC to CPA offers just speeds things up. I don’t have to make web sites, or make blog posts, or do SEO. If an offer does well, I can make up some pre-sell landing pages, or develop a site, but I don’t have to, if I don’t want to.

But Michael you said, ” Stop buying info products. Unsubscribe from all those people who spam your inbox.” Isn’t this just another offer?

It all boils down to who you trust. In an average year I send 18 newsletters and 2 offers. That’s a 9 to 1 content ratio. And when I do send you guys an offer, it’s an exclusive, not the same load of carp that everyone else is peddling.

It’s the advertising and occasional offer that keep this newsletter going. If you’re offended by the occasional endorsement, scroll to bottom of newsletter I sent you and unsubscribe… because you certainly won’t want the new video series I’m giving away next week.

Let me make this very clear… This is an EXCLUSIVE offer for the readers of this newsletter. If you go to the Ninja’s home page, you’ll see that this offer is not open to the public, or the affiliates yet.

Right now, today, there’s only one way to pick up the Traffic Dojo, and that’s through me. Once he opens this thing to the public on the 25th of May, it could sell out within hours. I’m giving you an exclusive head start.

But Michael you obviously hyped and spinned your recommendation for the Ninja’s Traffic Dojo… You don’t know how many copies will be sold… yea right.

Not at all. I gave you the facts. I tried to keep my previous newsletter low key, without any spin. I stuck to the actual conversations and events that took place.

If I came across excited about it… I am. Amy and I are doing very well so far. We’re making almost 30% return on investments, and trying for more. One ad in the videos showed a 110% return. I don’t even think penny stocks can do that.

I have put my SEO based affiliate activities on hold, because this method is faster, and generating more revenue than anything I’ve tried in the past 11 years. (Of course your results will vary from mine.)

So in addition to coaching my private site members, and writing this newsletter, I’m using PPC advertising to sell products as an affiliate. It has my energy and focus.

Yes, I’m into it. Yes, I recommend it. And the best part is, I don’t have to rely on Google anymore.

Let me reiterate from the last issue, “”I honestly don’t know how many copies of the course the Ninja will sell. I don’t know what the final price will be. I don’t even know how many “gurus” he’s invited to sell it.”"

“”All I know, is that you have a chance to own this course now. Before anyone else even knows about it.”"

Remember, this is a course in advertising and market research. You don’t need to use CPA offers. Thanks to the demographic targeting, you can use it to sell any product or service. You can be an affiliate, or sell your own products and services.

It’s a pretty simple process. You find demographics that respond to your offer, then ramp it up. Or in other words, buy a little traffic, get it to convert, then buy a whole lot of traffic.

So if you’re interested in PPC ADVERTISING don’t hesitate. He can cap the membership and pull the plug at any time. Don’t take my word for it. The proof is in this video. Go watch it now…

And if the Ninja is anything like last year, he sold 500 copies and locked the door. Again, I’m not trying to hype or spin. That’s what he did.

Take care,

Michael

White Belt in the Dojo

You are standing in the doorway of a martial arts studio. You are amazed by the black belt students. Their hands and feet blur with precision strikes, blocks and blows.

You begin to wonder if you’ve made a mistake. You stand there humbled, by your overly obvious, shiny white belt. Everyone knows it’s your first day at the dojo.

That’s how I felt when anyone told me about PPC to CPA marketing. My eyes would glaze over. I just couldn’t wrap my noodle around what they do.

Everything has changed though. I have something I didn’t have before… confidence. Thanks to my Sensei (teacher) I have a whole new perspective, and have become a humble student of CPA marketing…

If you’re still with me, I’d like to share my short story and an exclusive offer, “How I ended up as a white belt newbie in a CPA Dojo.”

My friend Christian Weselak (the PPC Ninja), banned from AdWords, has been perfecting a PPC to CPA system using secret traffic sources. He was thinking of selling it as a series of training videos.

Being his friend and mentor, I agreed to critique his work prior to release. I was expecting a 20,000 foot view and plenty of theory, but I was dead wrong.

I was literally awestruck by his new training videos. I couldn’t believe it. He’s giving away the farm.

He asked what I thought… What’s it worth? Without hesitation I blurt, “I’ll give you 2,000 bucks NOT to sell it.”

He only laughed.

Then I told him, “You’re crazy to share this information. It’s a complete step by step system. It shows exactly what you do. There’s no guessing. It’s like a gumball machine. Put in a dollar and get two back.”

He laughed again.

I’m like… “Dude! Seriously! It’s easily worth 2,000. I think you should sell it for that and limit it to 200 students.”

There was a long silence after that. He still hadn’t decided.

After I got home, I told my wife Amy about Traffic Dojo. She’s not interested in marketing, but I asked her to humor me and watch a few videos.

An hour later she came out of the study, her face beaming with excitement. I can do that! It looks easy. Let’s try it!

From that moment we decided to try and “tag team” our hands at CPA marketing.

Amy, because of her accounting background, would look after the campaigns. Anything to do with numbers, like buying traffic, split testing, tracking and conversions.

Me, because of my marketing background, would look after the creative. I would choose the graphics, come up with headlines and write the ad copy.

We joined the recommended CPA networks, and a few secret PPC traffic sources we discovered in the course. And so we began our foray into CPA marketing.

Amy is in the other room right now monitoring the campaigns. The early results look good.

I’m typing as fast as I can. I want to get back in there. Marketing hasn’t been this fun in a long time.

Devoted readers know that over the past 11 years, I’ve only recommended two other PPC courses. They were good but they couldn’t convince my to try it. Traffic Dojo is so complete, that it’s finally convinced me to try my hand at it.

Now… keep in mind, that you need to be handy with numbers, and in a strong financial position if you’re planning on doing PPC to CPA as your primary business model. You’ll need either financial reserves, a creditline, or an investor. That’s because there’s is a six week lag between buying your traffic, and getting paid by the CPA network.

You could however, start with as little as 50 dollars per month. Test a few campaigns. Make back 100 and wait to get paid. Then invest the proceeds back into advertising and do it all over again.

Traffic Dojo is an entire training system. It’s a self contained business model that’s proven to work. You actually see them earning while you are learning. By the fourth video, you’ll see them double their investment on a campaign.

The really cool thing about the Traffic Dojo, is that it requires no Google, no search engines, no Facebook, no SEO, or social media. You don’t even need web sites, or landing pages to generate good revenue.

Look… I gotta get back in the game, but before I do, I want to assure you that yes, I believe in Christian Weselak (the PPC Ninja). I’ve seen him crush it with CPA offers. He has trained others to do it and they’ve become successful like he is.

I’m recommending his course based on my personal experience. Amy and I have watched all the videos. Amy – who’s never done a stitch of marketing before in her life – is so confident that she’s buying traffic as we speak…

I’m guessing that pretty soon you’ll be bombarded with offers to buy this course. It’s only because I’ve been mentoring Christian that you get this exclusive.

Only you, my loyal Internet Marketing Secrets reader gets access to his Traffic Dojo before anyone else. No one else even knows about it yet.

Look… I honestly don’t know how many copies of the course Christian will sell. I don’t know what the final price will be. I don’t even know how many people he’s invited to sell it…

All I know, is that you have a chance to own this course now. Before anyone else even knows about it.

So if you’re interested in CPA marketing, please don’t hesitate. He could cap the membership, or pull the plug at any time. Don’t just take my word for it, go watch the video now…

I have to go now, because I’m dying to tweak my campaigns. And it’s funny… Even though I was nervous my first day in the Dojo, I’m already kicking some serious coin… I feel like a PPC Ninja.

Take care,

Michael

Internet Marketing Secrets
IMS #184 – April 21 2010
Marketing, Wisdom and Sphincters

The number one question I get asked is, “How do I find a market?”

My response is always the same. Take a look around you. Markets are everywhere. You cannot create them. They must already exist.

Mass markets exist where people have hopes, desires, fears and dreams. They could be about about vanity, weight, age, virility, health, food, shelter, clothing, entertainment, arts, hobbies, pets, sports, etc.

All you can do as an advertiser, is channel and direct a person’s desire. You focus it on your product or service as the solution. I cannot put it any clearer than that.

There are millions of markets. Pick something that you know about. Something you’re good at. Something you love doing.

Don’t worry about the competition. No one else is you, or sees the world quite like you do. If you’re truly passionate about what you do, you’ll naturally rise to the top.

The second most common FAQ? How do I know what I’m good at? I’ve already written the definitive answer. Go download The Uncovery workbook.

Most English speaking people are lazy. They do “just enough” to cruise through work and life. That attitude may have worked in previous generations, but not anymore. You can’t expect to drop out of high school and get a lifetime job at a factory.

I say that because hundreds of people come to me for help. If you’re too lazy to figure out what you want from life, I can’t help you. If you’re willing to put in the work and reap the rewards, then I have the answers you’re looking for.

Yea… so how did I get so damn smart? It’s because I read books. Hundreds of books. I learn from the knowledge and wisdom of others, and then apply it to my business.

You know what works? Focus, effort and momentum.

Focus gets the work done. You must shut off all distractions. Humans do NOT multitask. All the latest research shows at most, we can do two tasks at once, i.e. talk on the phone while cooking.

To focus you must shut off the emails, tweets, radio, tv, phones, the works. Grab a beverage, sit down and concentrate on accomplishing tasks.

Effort is practicing your craft, along with the fundamentals of marketing, sales and advertising. Use them to build your business like the Great Wall of China. A brick at a time and solid enough to last a millennium.

Momentum keeps the wheels spinning and the revenue humming with minimal effort. The abundance starts flowing in. Success is what you reap when you combine focus and effort over time.

(Focus + Effort = Momentum) x Time = Profits

What slows momentum down is flitting from one marketing strategy to the next. What stops it cold, is ignoring your core competencies, or primary business model, and turning your focus to something else.

Want to increase your focus, effort and momentum? Here’s a tip…

Stop buying info products. Unsubscribe from all those people who spam your inbox. You know the sphincters. They call themselves internet marketers, but they’re really not.

They are info marketers selling junk products they didn’t create, using direct marketing tactics like scarcity, urgency and social proof, to get you to open your wallet and make them rich.

Stop being their personal ATM machines. Hit them where it hurts. Don’t by their latest 200 – 1,000 dollar product launch.

Buy some REAL books from the book store instead, for 20 bucks a pop. It’s a 50 to 1 value in cost, and a 500 to 1 value in wisdom.

My top 12 most important reads (or listens in my case because I usually buy the audio version) that I’ve learned from include:

- Crush It by Gary Vaynerchuk

- A Whole New Mind by Daniel Pink

- Predictably Irrational by Dan Ariely

- 50 Scientifically Proven Ways to Be Persuasive by Dr. Robert Cialdini et al

- The Wizard Academy Training by Roy H. Williams

- The Little Gold Book of Yes Attitude by Jeffrey Gitomer

- All Marketers Are Liars by Seth Godin

- LinchPin by Seth Godin

- The Dip by Seth Godin

- How the Mighty Fall by Jim Collins

- From Good to Great by Jim Collins

- Breakthrough Advertising by Eugene Schwartz

So instead of following the herd, (and the sphincter in front of you), darting from one marketing tactic to the next, download this knowledge into your brain. Sprinkle it with your own intelligence and you’ll have what King Solomon asked God to give him above anything else. Wisdom.

Take care,

Michael
