Market Research & Advertising

Last week I sent you a newsletter about PPC Ninja’s New PPC to CPA course. It resulted in hundreds of questions.

NOTE: It’s not about PPC to CPA. It’s about market research and ADVERTISING.

It doesn’t matter what you want to sell. These PPC sources are dirt cheap, and you can sell normal affiliate goods, or your own products and services, it doesn’t have to be CPA offers, ok? So lets clear that up right away.

What makes the secret traffic source so effective is the demographic targeting. If you want to target, “short fat 51 year old Canadian caucasian men who smoke” you can. No other traffic source I know of has that ability. Click to watch the video.

Then once you find a demographic that responds to what you’re selling, you go wide. You take the same creative – photo, headline and copy – stick it on a banner and do a media buy at Pulse360.com, AdBrite.com or some other ad platform.

Go over to Quantcast.com and type in an url like acne.org. You’ll discover the age range, gender, ethnicity, income and education. It will tell you if the site accepts ads or not. It also shows related sites that the acne.org visitors like.

So it only makes sense to advertise what works. Test your ad against various demographics using the Ninja’s secret traffic sources. Then once you have a combo that works, advertise it like crazy, where that demographic hangs out.

And yes, you can do it the other way round. You can go to Quantcast first, gather intelligence, do your creative, and then run it on the Ninja’s secret traffic sources. You can get a head start that way.

Another source of market intelligence is Google’s Ad Planner at Google.com/adplanner/ . It doesn’t have demographic data for as many sites, but it shows audience interests, keywords searched for, sites also visited, and details about advertising on that site. This is key information for any advertiser.

If you wanted to be really sneaky, search your keyword, or niche on Google and make a note of the top 10 results. Then go into Google’s content network and slip your tested, targeted ads into those top sites.

Making your ad match their content is not only sneaky, it’s totally permitted and uber effective. (That nugget itself, is worth the time it took to read this newsletter, in my opinion. :-)

Now something I want to hammer home as an affiliate… SEO takes too long, it has too many rules, and it has limited inventory in terms of clicks. Even if you go after hundreds of long tail phrases and Jiggle the Web, the amount of clicks are limited.

Even mighty Google with over 60% of all search, is responsible for less than 30% of the PPC inventory. That leaves more than 70% of all PPC traffic sources untouched by Google.

Many of these secret traffic sources sell ads on their pages, for a tiny fraction of what it costs to advertise on Google. I’m talking 10 – 40 cent CPMs (cost per 1,000 impressions). Which means my ad shows up 1,000 times for a mere .10 cents).

That’s dirt cheap traffic. Especially when you consider how laser targeted you can get with the demographics.

So in our acne example, you’d only let your ad fire (yes, you control when your ad shows), when the searcher is a woman with children. And she’s between the ages of 20 to 35. Since they have way higher than usual Hispanic visitors, guess what some of your photos will look like? Uh Huh.

Are you beginning to see the power in this?

Another thing that bugs me, is that Google is making it harder for affiliate marketers to get good rankings. They’re getting more powerful, charging more for their ads, yet paying out less. On top of that, they can shut you down in the blink of an eye.

If you rely on Google docs, SEO traffic, Youtube videos, Adsense and Adwords, you could lose all of that overnight, if you accidentally do something against their TOS. If you use Gmail, they can shut that off too.

Doesn’t it bother you that one company – right or wrong as the case may be – has that much power over your business? (Hopefully freedom of speech is still a basic human right and they won’t ban me for expressing an opinion. ;-)

The PPC Ninja’s Traffic Dojo does NOT rely on Google…

* No Google
* No Facebook
* No SEO
* No search engines
* No social media
* No landing pages

The Ninja’s secret traffic sources say…

* Yes to affiliates
* Yes to direct linking
* Yes to demographics
* Yes to unlimited inventory
* Yes to high return on investment

But Michael, two issues ago you said, “What slows momentum down is flitting from one marketing strategy to the next.” Isn’t that what you’re doing?

Not at all. My main focus is affiliate revenue. Always has been. Yes I write a newsletter. And I have a private site. But the bulk of my revenue comes through affiliate programs, outside of the internet marketing space.

Running PPC to CPA offers just speeds things up. I don’t have to make web sites, or make blog posts, or do SEO. If an offer does well, I can make up some pre-sell landing pages, or develop a site, but I don’t have to, if I don’t want to.

But Michael you said, ” Stop buying info products. Unsubscribe from all those people who spam your inbox.” Isn’t this just another offer?

It all boils down to who you trust. In an average year I send 18 newsletters and 2 offers. That’s a 9 to 1 content ratio. And when I do send you guys an offer, it’s an exclusive, not the same load of carp that everyone else is peddling.

It’s the advertising and occasional offer that keep this newsletter going. If you’re offended by the occasional endorsement, scroll to bottom of newsletter I sent you and unsubscribe… because you certainly won’t want the new video series I’m giving away next week. ;-)

Let me make this very clear… This is an EXCLUSIVE offer for the readers of this newsletter. If you go to the Ninja’s home page, you’ll see that this offer is not open to the public, or the affiliates yet.

Right now, today, there’s only one way to pick up the Traffic Dojo, and that’s through me. Once he opens this thing to the public on the 25th of May, it could sell out within hours. I’m giving you an exclusive head start.

But Michael you obviously hyped and spinned your recommendation for the Ninja’s Traffic Dojo… You don’t know how many copies will be sold… yea right.

Not at all. I gave you the facts. I tried to keep my previous newsletter low key, without any spin. I stuck to the actual conversations and events that took place.

If I came across excited about it… I am. Amy and I are doing very well so far. We’re making almost 30% return on investments, and trying for more. One ad in the videos showed a 110% return. I don’t even think penny stocks can do that.

I have put my SEO based affiliate activities on hold, because this method is faster, and generating more revenue than anything I’ve tried in the past 11 years. (Of course your results will vary from mine.)

So in addition to coaching my private site members, and writing this newsletter, I’m using PPC advertising to sell products as an affiliate. It has my energy and focus.

Yes, I’m into it. Yes, I recommend it. And the best part is, I don’t have to rely on Google anymore.

Let me reiterate from the last issue, “”I honestly don’t know how many copies of the course the Ninja will sell. I don’t know what the final price will be. I don’t even know how many “gurus” he’s invited to sell it.”"

“”All I know, is that you have a chance to own this course now. Before anyone else even knows about it.”"

Remember, this is a course in advertising and market research. You don’t need to use CPA offers. Thanks to the demographic targeting, you can use it to sell any product or service. You can be an affiliate, or sell your own products and services.

It’s a pretty simple process. You find demographics that respond to your offer, then ramp it up. Or in other words, buy a little traffic, get it to convert, then buy a whole lot of traffic.

So if you’re interested in PPC ADVERTISING don’t hesitate. He can cap the membership and pull the plug at any time. Don’t take my word for it. The proof is in this video. Go watch it now

And if the Ninja is anything like last year, he sold 500 copies and locked the door. Again, I’m not trying to hype or spin. That’s what he did.

Take care,

Michael
